PHOTO TYPE - 44 STANLEY AVE

The current project I am busy with is one that was brought on through my love for different type faces. I’ve selected areas that truly have the heartbeat of the city of Jozi and I am photographing the type found in these areas. The result achieved is something of a collage of the textures behind the type that encapsulate the location. The type personifies each of the locations. I will be publishing this as an on going project as it takes so darn long to put together. Hope you enjoy.

ON THE ROAD

 

I took these on the road to Umtata. Its hard take photos on a road trip as time is a crazy factor when you doing 10 hour journey over a weekend.

 Ernest Nkosi helped make me make my first film, it was very bad. He managed to look past that and we created some quite good student films that went as for as student films go. He now owns his own company Monarchy Group where he produces and manages comedians, films and reality shows.
